    Overview:

    The safety and wellness of the officers on your watch depend on your leadership. The Mid-Level Leadership Workshop inspires mid-level law enforcement leaders to advance officer safety and wellness strategies within their own agencies.

    This one-day grant-funded workshop, facilitated by subject-matter experts, is an event that:

    •  Addresses leadership strategies.
    •  Examines causes of officer assaults, injuries, and deaths.
    •  Explores critical officer wellness issues.
    •  Discusses protocols and best practices.
    •  Discusses setting a safety precedent and accountability.
    •  Illustrates actionable opportunities to increase safety and wellness.

    Training will be held July 23, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., ET, with a one-hour break for lunch (on your own).

    This is an IADLEST National Certification Program™ certified course.

No. This training is funded by BJA and is free to any sworn law enforcement officer. However, travel, lodging, and per diem costs are the responsibility of the attendee or the attendee’s agency.
Yes. Depending on the location of the training and the state’s law enforcement training authority, state law enforcement credit may be available.
This training is strictly classroom-based. Appropriate dress is business casual or uniform, if required by your agency.
While this training is primarily for state, local, and tribal officers, federal law enforcement officers may be admitted on a space-available basis.
