Overview:
This 2-day, in-person VALOR training provides sworn officers at all levels with the essentials to survive and thrive in their careers by stressing the importance of being physically and mentally prepared, maintaining situational awareness, combating complacency, and remaining vigilant.

Training will be held September 15-16, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., ET., with a 1-hour break for lunch (on your own).
Certificate of completion for 16 hours available

No. This training is funded by BJA and is free to any sworn law enforcement officer. However, travel, lodging, and per diem costs are the responsibility of the attendee or the attendee’s agency.
Is in-service training credit available?
Yes. Depending on the location of the training and the state’s law enforcement training authority, state law enforcement credit may be available.
What is the dress code for this training?
This training is strictly classroom-based. Appropriate dress is business casual or uniform, if required by your agency.
Are federal law enforcement officers allowed in this training?
While this training is primarily for state, local, and tribal officers, federal law enforcement officers may be admitted on a space-available basis.
