    Overview:

    The VALOR Train‑the‑Trainer Workshop provides qualified law enforcement trainers with tools to develop and deliver basic in‑house officer safety and wellness awareness training within their agencies.

     

    This 1-day, in-person, no-cost workshop, facilitated by subject-matter experts, is an event that:

     

    • Teaches the VALOR framework and concepts for use in individual agencies
    • Identifies and explores available resources, suggested scenarios, discussion questions, and training videos available on the VALOR Program website
    • Engages participants through practical teach-back exercises

     

    Training will be held September 17, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., ET, with a 1-hour break for lunch (on your own).

     

    To attend this workshop, officers should have previously attended a VALOR Survive & Thrive® officer safety and wellness training within the last 2 years.

No. This training is funded by BJA and is free to any sworn law enforcement officer. However, travel, lodging, and per diem costs are the responsibility of the attendee or the attendee’s agency.
Yes. Depending on the location of the training and the state’s law enforcement training authority, state law enforcement credit may be available.
This training is strictly classroom-based. Appropriate dress is business casual or uniform, if required by your agency.
While this training is primarily for state, local, and tribal officers, federal law enforcement officers may be admitted on a space-available basis.

I will be issued a color-coded registration document identification indicating that I do not agree to my likeness being captured by video or photographed. I understand that I may be asked to sit in a designated area of the instructional/presentation area and that it is my responsibility to avoid placing myself in the field of vision of any photography or video efforts occurring throughout the program, including breaks.
